Hello WordPress Followers!

Oh, how I’ve grown as a writer and publisher. That cannot be discounted. It’s one thing to write a 30K word novella, then progress to a 50K + word novel; but to edit, critique, and publish on four online venues is insurmountable! This do it yourself minus a MFA college degree is frustrating, and more than disappointing when you think you’ve been given a great tip only to find out you’ve been sabotaged. You must listen to others because you are starting from scratch, though, I’ve found the internet to be filled with trolls, and nay-sayers, plus inaccuracies. Then again, I’m still here and trying. Why? Because I did find authentic, wonderful writers willing to give me a focus and keep trying.

You know what I like? Exactly the same thing I did as when I started. I like putting together a unique idea from myself and making a small production of it. It is like making and sewing a dress, performing on stage in a theatre production, singing in a choir, traveling, or even making a family and trying to get the parenting right. You keep working it and using all the information at your disposal. It is uniquely you.

My next book release is forthcoming. My best friend influenced me when she said (she’s a huge reader of mystery-crime), you got to kill some people in your book. What? Me kill someone. I’m a nurse we put people back together, that’s my calling. She’s the big reader so I took Shannan’s advice. I’m looking forward to getting some input on this one.

I’ve had it professionally critiqued-she liked it, and queried it out there. Just because nobody picks it up doesn’t mean its not good. The agents and editors don’t have time or are too busy. Once again, I’ll do it alone. Sad face without tears. My wishes go unanswered. Of course, I HOPE someone pounds their fist on a desk when it sells well and they missed an opportunity by dropping me off into the trashcan beside their desk.

Finally, take a look up top at my header image and you’ll see the the cover image for “THREE KING MACKEREL AND A MAHI MAHI” along with my other book covers. Yes, that’s the title and its way more than fishing. The genre is spy-thriller with a romantic element for adults. I’ll be looking for readers-so pass it forward. My estimated release date is February 10-17th! It will be on Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Smashwords. Surveillance is creepy.

Think Pulp Fiction marries Fried Green Tomatoes while wanting a 007 life.

Bastille Day!!

Here is my poem French Blue I wrote in 2012, before I published the novel “Bleu Moon” which is included in my trilogy “Into the Vines.” Come read and visit sites you only dreamed about all the while discovering an adventurous plot involving a contemporary global theme! What is so exciting is that I’ve never been to Paris, yet, I explored so much of the city of light in my novel. You will too!

I’m told its as though you are right there, now that’s magic. This month on Amazon my novels French Bleu(R rated) & Bleu Moon(G rated) are FREE on select days with their Kindle and Kindle Direct Publishing avenues or KDP.

My novel “Into the Vines” by Kim Troike can be bought on Kindle for 3.99 and paperback is also available through Amazon. Into the Vines is for teens, YA, and adult readers.

Bastille Day is today and later this month the Blue Moon occurs on July 31st. These are things that happen but the real story is the characters, so warm they will surely capture your heart. You might even fall in love. My books are available here.

French Blue

French blue, a color so true
Full of promise and hope
Ye shall see this as I say.

Power me to be free to
Want not but love and do
You see her glory, written so true?

The accordion plays on and on
Wanting love, expecting no less
For it’s beauty shines and sings.

Patient and blue longs for it’s rendezvous
Again romance found a door, smiles let go,
Sighs give relief, pardon adieu!

No sadness seen in a city of light
Many hours to make things right
Love, yes, ignites without fight.

Notes of song bring rhythm
Two by two, feelings join the rhyme
Blue, the hue, pour me a cup.
Grapes divine, sings freedoms song.
